My '69 Corvette has undergone a complete nut & bolt frame-off restoration that I performed in my spare time from 2007 to 2014 when it hit the road for the first time in decades... The first car show I attended was "Corvettes at CORSA" in 2014 where my car did win one of the exhaust tip trophies. I repainted it its original "Riverside Gold" as it was one of my favorite colors in '69. Even though my Vette has its numbers-matching drivetrain, I decided to upgrade things like the performance, ignition, cooling system, braking and even the sound system to the latest advancements in technology. I also decided to dress up the engine compartment with some bling and a few stainless steel and chrome goodies wherever possible to achieve a certain look without overdoing it... I think I achieved the appearance I was after, and hopefully you'll agree. Note also that I've restored all the original factory stock parts that I haven't reused and are stored. You'll see I chose to go with the L88 hood instead of the stock 427 hood as I've always liked the domed look, so I also searched and found an L88 intake manifold to position the height of the Demon carburetor and air cleaner by using a stock L88 depressed air cleaner base which leaves 1/4" clearance below the hood. My car has the numbers-matching L36 base 427 c.i. engine factory rated at 390 hp, and its internals were rebuilt using NOS parts. In my opinion (and others have said) there's just something special about the look of my 1969 Corvette, especially in the sunlight that Riverside Gold I was told by PPG that it has/had the most gold metallic in 1969 than any other factory American car color, Cadillac included with their dazzling Firemists. I appreciate your taking the time and effort to judge my baby, this has always been my yearly favorite all-Corvette show, and miss being able to attend this year, but this "virtual" Corvettes at CORSA is a great idea, both for our charity "Ohio Guidestone" and for the Corvette hobby
